Straight answers about IELTS and JLPT coaching, university admission, student visas and what everything actually costs — no sales talk.

IELTS & JLPT coaching

We run three options: a 3-month Basic to IELTS course for students starting from the fundamentals (BDT 7,300), a standard IELTS Course for students who already have a working level of English (BDT 9,300), and a free self-paced Online IELTS Course made up of pre-recorded lessons.

IELTS coaching starts at BDT 7,300 for the 3-month Basic to IELTS course. The standard IELTS Course is BDT 9,300. The online pre-recorded course is free.

No. The online course is fully pre-recorded and self-paced, so you can study at any time. Live teaching, speaking practice and mock feedback happen in our in-person batches at our office.

No. The Japanese Language Program is a JLPT-track pathway, so IELTS is not required. You study Japanese with us for 3 months (BDT 15,000) targeting JLPT N5 / N4 level.

Most students who start from the basics are exam-ready within about 3 months of regular classes and practice. Students with a stronger English base often need less. We assess your current level in the first free counselling session and recommend the right batch.

Yes. Our batches run at fixed morning and afternoon slots, and the free online course is available any time, so most students can fit classes around college or work.

University admission

We currently guide students to 11 destinations: Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, USA, Ireland, Europe, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, China.

We build your shortlist around your academic results, your English or Japanese level, your intended subject and your family's realistic budget — then explain why each option is on the list before any application is submitted.

We do not claim university partnerships. We are an independent consultancy that prepares and submits applications directly through each institution's official admission channel.

Typically your academic transcripts and certificates, passport copy, English or Japanese language test result, CV, a statement of purpose and reference letters. Requirements vary by country and university, and we give you an exact checklist for your case.

Yes, in many cases. Several destinations accept study gaps if you can explain them credibly and show relevant work or training. We review your profile honestly and tell you where a gap is likely to be a problem.

Student visa & financial proof

No. No consultancy anywhere can guarantee a visa — the decision belongs entirely to the immigration authority of the destination country. What we guarantee is a complete, honest and correctly prepared application, plus full interview preparation and support at every step.

It depends on the country. Each destination sets its own minimum living-cost proof on top of tuition — for example Canada requires a GIC plus tuition. Every country page on this site lists the financial proof required, and we confirm the current figure with you during counselling.

Usually a parent or an immediate family member with documented income and a traceable bank history. Sponsorship documents must be genuine and consistent — we will tell you clearly if a sponsorship profile is likely to raise questions.

We review the refusal reasons with you in detail, and where the grounds can be addressed we help you prepare a stronger reapplication or consider an alternative destination. We never hide a refusal reason from you.

Yes. We prepare and check your documents, complete the application, book biometrics or appointments where required, and prepare you for any visa interview.

Costs & payments

No. Initial counselling and the personalised assessment report are free. You can book it through the Free Personalised Assessment Report form on this site or visit our office.

No. We explain every fee — coaching, application, and any third-party costs such as test fees, embassy fees and medicals — before you commit to anything.

Tuition alone ranges widely by destination, and living costs depend on the city and your lifestyle. Each country page on this site shows the tuition range in both local currency and BDT, and we prepare a personalised full-cost estimate during counselling.

Many universities offer merit-based tuition discounts and scholarships, and eligibility depends on your grades and test scores. We flag the options your profile realistically qualifies for rather than promising funding.

About IMS

No. IMS is an education consultancy. Visa applications are part of what we do, but our work starts earlier: an honest, written assessment of where you can study within your budget, careful course and university choices, and then a properly prepared visa file.
